Liposuction in Charlotte, NC

If you are within 30% of your ideal weight, eat properly, and exercise regularly, liposuction may be an option for you. Liposuction is not intended as a weight loss procedure, but instead helps refine the contours of your body.

Sometimes diet and exercise are not enough to eliminate those little pockets of fat on your abdomen, waist, thighs, hips, and buttocks. Don’t fret—many of our patients face the same dilemma. Heredity, as well as other factors, can cause stubborn, fatty deposits where you least want them and where they have the worst possible effect on your natural curves and contours.

For your liposuction procedure, a special solution is injected into the fat cells, and a small tube is used to suction out the dissolved cells. The procedure may require the use of a local or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of your liposuction treatment plan. Dr. Pratt may recommend liposuction in conjunction with other procedures.

The Liposuction Procedure

Liposuction begins with a small incision over the target area. A tube, attached to a high-powered vacuum, is inserted to loosen all the fat from the surrounding tissue and remove it from the body. This process removes the stubborn fat bulges that previously resided on or around the butt, thighs, stomach or hips.

Recovery Info

Liposuction requires small incisions in the treatment area, and the location and number of incisions depends on the extent of your treatment plan. If your liposuction is performed in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures, this will affect your recovery process as well. After your liposuction procedure, you will wear a compression garment to help with the healing. You will be advised about limitations to your activities, and you may experience bruising and swelling that resolves within the first few weeks after your procedure.

What is the Cost of Liposuction in Charlotte?

The price of liposuction varies for each person. The cost depends on the extent of surgery necessary, including the number of target areas and the amount of fat being removed. The Refine Institute offers financing options to help you achieve your goals.
