Seeing the results of your body contouring procedure can now be done during your consultation. Since The Refine Institute exclusively offers the Vectra 3-D Imaging System, patients can view the changes to their hips, thighs, tummy and buttocks, even before the procedure. Images are shown from multiple angles so you can see a more accurate result of what your body will look like.
RECOVERY INFO
There will be swelling and pain along the incision early on, but this can be controlled with oral medication. Walking is encouraged, but bending and lifting should be avoided for the first week. You will be able to return to normal activities, other than heavy lifting and contact sports, within a few weeks. Your final result will take several months to be evident.

After losing a great deal of weight in the abdominal, thigh, breast, and arm areas due to bariatric surgery and weight loss, many patients continue to experience problems related to excess skin remaining on the body. These difficulties range from ill-fitting clothing to uncomfortable rashes and can generally only be solved through excess skin removal. Dr. Cozart understands the frustrations these issues can cause you as a patient and can help you to achieve the outcome you dreamed of when you took corrective measures to lose weight.

Because skin corrective procedures can be more entailed than some aesthetic procedures, post weight loss skin correction such as abdominoplasty, thigh lift, arm lift, or breast lift can result in somewhat longer recovery periods and increased chance of scarring. Dr. Cozart uses every available method to minimize these scars as much as possible. With the addition of HybriSil to our practice, The Refine Institute is one of a handful of practices offering the 1st prescription strength treatment approved by the FDA for reduction and minimization of surgical scars.

Post weight loss skin correction is usually performed on an outpatient basis and patients can generally expect to go home on the same day as their surgery. People in jobs that do not require strenuous activity can usually return to work within 7 to 14 days, providing they are compliant with post-operative instructions

If you are unhappy with the way you look after your weight loss, The Refine Institute can help. After the removal of excess skin, you can finally start living the life you have dreamed of. Shorts, summer skirts, and swimwear all become a reality as you gain the confidence in your body that you have worked so hard to achieve.
