Butt Augmentation with Fat Transfer (Brazillian Butt Lift)
SIMULATE POST-SURGICAL RESULTS
Seeing the results of your body contouring procedure can now be done during your consultation. Since The Refine Institute exclusively offers the Vectra 3-D Imaging System, patients can view the changes to their hips, thighs, tummy and buttocks, even before the procedure. Images are shown from multiple angles so you can see a more accurate result of what your body will look like.
RECOVERY INFO
Most patients will require 7-10 days of recovery after the brazillian butt lift. You will be required to stay off your bottom ( not sit ) for 7 days. Additionally, you must remember that you are recuperating from liposuction as well ( as this is how the fat is harvested ). The liposuction incisions are very small, just enough to allow the suction wand, or cannula, to go under the skin and take out the fat that we work with. You will be sore in these areas and required to wear a compression garment for 2-4 weeks.

Augmenting your derriere with your own body fat can create a very natural look and feel. Because fat is your own body substance, there is little chance for rejection, and almost all derrieres look better with some added volume. Most patients are amazed at how much nicer the gluteus looks when more volume is added. The ideal candidate for butt augmentation through fat transfer is one that has fat to spare, typically in their midsection. This fat is harvested and then used to round and shape the gluteal area to create eliminate the “flat” appearance that can occur over time or that a patient may have naturally as part of their physique.

Fat can be harvested from any place where corpulent tissue is found but the most common donor spots are the flanks, the outer legs and the upper and outer buttocks. Planting fat cells from those areas will cause your derriere to look like it has been lifted up and reshaped to be more curvaceous. Additionally, if you have fat in certain areas of your gluteal area that is not complimentary, this fat can be suctioned to create more contour during the procedure.

Realistic expectations are important to this procedure. After the procedure, the buttocks will swell somewhat and then subside. Often, patients think all the transferred fat has gone away but actually, it is the swelling that has subsided. We believe that it takes about three months before we can get a final resolution on how much fat actually remains. We tell our patients that the appearance you have after 3 months is what we consider to be the final result. It is also important to know that not all of the fat will “take” or remain. Because fat is a natural substance of your own body, some of it may be metabolized as normal fat would. Given correct procedure and the appropriate candidate, the majority of patients require 1 to 2 visits to gain the permanent effect they are looking for.

Although many may offer this procedure, its successful outcome is dependent on the skill of the surgeon. Dr. Pratt, who has been specialty trained in this area, will work with you to achieve your desired outcome and will advise you on which procedure is right for you.
